The path leads from the centre of the town Cerkno on a sunny slope to the 3 km distant village Zakriž. The area ofthe village is protected by Natura 2000. After a walk on an asphalt, winding and quite narrow path you are rewarded with the possibility of sightseeing the old village's "pajštvo" (fruit kiln), in which in autumn they are still drying fruit, but most of it is distillate into fruit brandy.
In the village you can visit the Church of Saint Andrew, which is equipped with »nabrežinskim« marble. Pearl of church is organ from 1730 and they are rarity in Europe. You can visit also the Italian military fortress, and many other attractions. Further on the path is winding on slopes toward the village Trebenče, where you turn right and walk along the macadam road, passing through the Mostanija you arrive back to the town Cerkno.
